The department of Human Resources is an essential component of Radian's day to day operations and strategic footprint. HR’s responsibilities include compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, organizational and talent development, employee engagement and retention. The HR team at Radian has earned a “seat at the table” and is highly engaged with all levels of the business. The HR model follows a center of excellence model and has oversight for over 2,300 employees across 10 sites.

What you will do:
As the VP, HR Business Partner, you will play major role in aligning our Talent with Radian growth strategy and culture. There are a few major components to this position, which you will drive to success.

  • Serve as a strategic senior business partner to Radian’s senior management team to help align client groups with overall company strategy and values
  • Consultation with business unit management and other employees in understanding and applying HR tools in order to capitalize on employee performance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Workforce planning and serving as a change agent in assessing and anticipating HR related needs of the business, including employee engagement
  • Overseeing human resources policies, procedures, laws and standards in guiding the workforce
  • Design, delivery, and communication of value added services, consultation, to enable business units to maximize their human capital investment.
  • Overseeing talent management work streams
  • Driving business partnerships in the Performance Management Program and in collaboration with other COE’s – Talent Review and Succession Planning, Employee Recognition and Employee Engagement

Who we are looking for:
We need a dynamic and outgoing person who yearns to provide exceptional customer service.  Ideally, you will have spent time working in a fast paced, high energy, finance, banking or higher education environment where you thrived on tackling challenges and being a leader. Additionally, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or relevant discipline with 10 to 15 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to manage and coach teams with 8 to 10 years of supervisory experience.  
  • Superior knowledge of human resources management skills, including experience in talent management, employee relations, performance management, and benefits.
  • Proven consultative skills that build and maintain effective working relationships with a broad array of stakeholders.
  • Strong political acuity for  navigating the complexities of an organization that is growing through acquisitions
  • The candidate should be well versed in engaging at all levels including senior leaders and will be comfortable operating in an agile environment, and.
  • You will develop and drive execution of strategic frameworks and build consensus on strategic priorities in support of the business unit?
  • Team player with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level. 
  • Demonstrated ability to consult positively affect organizational climate, influence and drive organizational change.
  • Proven record of taking initiative and being proactive. Excellent judgment, problem solving, customer service, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to provide clear and effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Strong analytical skills and sophisticated reasoning skills.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills with a strong teamwork philosophy.  Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion.

People Management:

  • 2 or more direct reports, demonstrated strategic leadership

Prior Work Experience

  • Technical:   10 - 15 years
  • Supervisory:   8 - 10 years

Education and Credentials

  • Required:    Bachelor’s Degree,  Concentration in HR Management, Business or related field
  • Other Certifications:   PHR or SPHR preferred
