Job Description

Develop, maintain, and implement risk assessments, strategies, policies, procedures, compliance and solutions to ensure:
- business continuity;
- physical safety and security; prevention, detection and response to fraud, theft or other misconduct and
- emergency management; the overall management and creation of the framework required to reduce vulnerability to hazards within the workplace

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business Continuity - develop, maintain and implement:
  • Business Continuity Plans (detailed at business unit level and top-level playbook)
  • Business Impact Assessments
  • Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Crisis Management Plan 
  • Pandemic Plan
  • Exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, including post-mortems,
  • Remediation planning and updates procedures and plans
  • Lead coordination of efforts during and after a continuity or disruption event,
  • Coordinate with Security Operations on Incident Response where it affects business operations
  • Emergency alerting and communication plan
  • Plans compliant with applicable laws, regulations and contractual client requirements
  • Related policies and practices, risk assessment, monitoring, controls, metrics and dashboard reporting
  • Periodic meetings with Senior Business Leaders, charter 
  • Annual planning calendar and budget
  • Awareness training for end users on business continuity
  • Client-driven due diligence materials: test results, program summaries
  • Updates on an annual cycle or as business conditions require
  • Physical Safety and Security - develop, maintain and implement:
  • Baseline physical security parameters, in all operating locations
  • Exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, including physical penetration testing
  • Related policies and practices, risk assessment, monitoring, controls, metrics and dashboard reporting
  • Awareness training for end users on physical safety and security
  • Updates on an annual cycle or as business conditions require
  • Emergency Management -Develop, maintain and implement  the overall corporate strategy for the mangement and creation of the framework required to reduce vuknerability to hazards within and around the worplace;emergency training including CPR and AED; shelter in place, active shooter, etc


Job Specifications

Knowledge:

  • Technical knowledge and practical experience in the all position domains: business continuity, physical security/safety and infrasture failure prevention, detection and response, emergency management;
  • Additional knowledge related to skill and abilities described below. 


Skills and Abilities:

  • Intelligent, articulate and influential leader with the skills and abilities to drive solutions and results, including
  • contributions as an individual, and also via associates throughout the enterpise in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to communicate concepts to a broad range of technical, non-technical and Sr. Management staff.
  • Technical knowledge and practical experience in the all position domains.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Business and risk analysis, problem solving, planning, project management and execution skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, learn quickly, think strategically, be flexible and adapt.


People Management:

  • Management of two employees - one exempt and one non-exempt


Prior Work Experience

  • Technical:   8 - 10 years
  • Supervisory:   3 - 5 years


Education and Credentials

  • Required:    Bachelor’s Degree,  Concentration in BCM/Physical Sec./Fraud Investigation
  • Other Certifications::   Business Continutiy Certification (e.g. CBCP, CBCI, C/DRE, CBCM, EDRP, etc.);
