Job Description

This position is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day title services operations. The Title Services Team Lead position is the subject matter expert in all aspects of Title Services and assists the manager in leading the team in production and knowledge of procedures and systems. Ensures that the team is thoroughly trained in the title services processes and is meeting their production goals. Handles escalated and difficult orders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1.) Serves as the subject matter expert for Title Services handling escalated and high priority orders.

2.) Assist new and existing team members with all aspects of training to ensure the Title Services processes are successfully completed in accordance with company guidelines and client expectations.

3.) Review all daily reports to ensure completion of assigned duties by the team.

4.) Address inquires and escalations from clients, borrowers, real estate agents, internal staff and management in a professional and timely manner.

5.) Audit team member’s orders for compliance with client requirements and company guidelines.

6.) Identify title defects and work to resolve the issue quickly and appropriately for the client and product.

7.) Work with vendors to complete work timely and accurately.  Recognize when to escalate an issue to management.

8.) Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge:

College degree with prior industry experience.  Minimum requirements of a high school diploma with at least three years industry or related business experience. Experience within the real estate industry and/or vendor management service company preferred. 

Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of title requirements for origination and REO in multiple states; Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word);  Experience using client-based systems; Attention to detail; Motivated and positive team player; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Excellent communication skills with team members, clients, vendors and management.  Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. 6 months to 1 year supervisory experience.

People Management:

Team Lead oversees the team's daily work flow and ensures all orders are completed in a timely manner, all client inquires are addressed and noted in systems and is responsible for training new hires and ongoing training for existing team members.  Subject matter expert for a team of 5 - 10 employees.

Education:

HS Diploma / GED required

Bachelors' Degree preferred
