Job Description

The Application Administrator is responsible for all aspects of administration and support for 3rd party purchased, and in-house developed software. The Administrator assists in the development and deployment of applications, user /security configuration and support, application user security processes and the resolution of day-to-day issues.

What you will do:

  • Contribute to creation, comply and mentor IT development processes and procedures.
  • Focus will be on the digital transformation project. Determine level of effort and provide estimates to implement solutions.   
  • Continuous process improvement, runtime automation and orchestration of operational processes and their dependencies.
  • Provision and configure purchased applications. Write and maintain technical documentation (Run Books and Release Notes)
  • Install, configure, setup, support and administration for the following products (but not limited to): J2EE Web App Containers, SharePoint, BizTalk, SSH and FTP implementations, and other applications in the portfolio. Provide support for application tuning, and application production support.
  • Comply and maintain application security practices across computing platforms. Comply and maintain DR and BCP documentation as necessary.

What we are looking for:


Knowledge:

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in software lifecycle development.
  • At least four (4) years in installations, maintenance and administration
  • At least four (4) years current experience in administrating the following 3rd party packages. J2EE Web Applications, SharePoint, BizTalk and IIS
  • Must have working knowledge of the LINUX (RHEL) & Windows operating system.
  • Experience in SQL and vendor extensions of SQL (PL/SQL, TSQL, etc)
  • Experience in scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell)
  • Solid knowledge of security practices and protocols is necessary.
  • Solid understanding of key application security concepts, incl authentication, access control & group access.
  • ITIL V3 Foundation Certification a plus.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiar with mortgage business processes a plus.

Prior Work Experience and Education:

  • 5 to 8 years of related technical work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or equivalent degree considered.
  • Preferred CCNA, MCSE, CISSP
