Job Description

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Radian connects lenders, homebuyers, investors and loan servicers using a suite of private mortgage insurance and related risk management products and services. We help promote and preserve the tradition of homeownership while protecting lenders from default-related losses on residential first mortgages. We also facilitate the sale of low-down payment mortgages in the secondary market.

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for assisting Radian’s Marketing department in the development of marketing initiatives to support the sales team and other customer-facing departments at Radian.  Responsibilities include helping to drive our strategic marketing direction in partnership with sales leaders, coordinating marketing projects from start to finish, the creation of marketing materials from copywriting to basic design, working in partnership with digital marketing to execute deliverables, and communication with Radian stakeholders and customers.  Reporting to the AVP, Segment Marketing, this individual should have a strong understanding of marketing principles,  be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills, be focused on the customer and excel in a fast-paced and creative work environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In partnershp with sales and marketing leaders, build out marketing campaigns and promotional efforts that effectively position Radian solutions and capabilities in the marketplace. Develop marketing plans that clearly define the details of each initiaitve, including objectives, target audience, key messaging, methodolgy, timelines and metrics.  Coordinate deliverables with stakeholders to ensure execution and timliness.
  • For each marketing campaign and promotion, collect relevant data and insight that can be used to measure the overall success of each initiative and drive decision making for future marketing efforts.  Aggregate results in an format that can be easily shared with stakeholders and business leaders. 
  • Drive the creation of new marketing materials based on business needs and opportunities.  Coordinate the process for regularly reviewing and editing existing materials as needed to support company and sales initiatives.  This process may include collaboration with external creative and design agencies, ensuring approvals are met, working closely with digital marketing to post updates, and communication with the sales team and customers.
  • Research and develop ideas for promotional items to be used for campaigns, client office visits, industry events, customer and employee gifts and direct mail initiatives. Work with marketing partners to help manage the inventory of promotional items available through ShopRadian, Radian's online store for promotional items and marketing material.  
  • Help coordinate the flow of incoming marketing requests from the sales team and broader organization. Prioritize each request and ensure that fulfillment and follow up meets the expectation of the requestor.

Job Specifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize numerous projects and complete them on time and within budget.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees including senior management.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is essential and experience with Marketo, Adobe Photoshop, Quark and/or Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
  • High level of motivation with the ability to work independently with little supervision.

Prior Work Experience and Education:

  • A minimum of three to five years of business experience in a corporate or agency setting with demonstrated experience with a variety of marketing tactics.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or equivalent concentration is required.
