Job Description

As a member of the Inside Sales team, the Junior Business Analyst supports the Inside Sales leadership team and is responsible for producing the daily and monthly reporting necessary for leadership to effectively manage to sales activity and performance. The junior business analyst will also be expected to sample and pull team member calls daily for leadership review for coaching purposes and to ensure team is delivering consistent messages to customers. Responsibilities include production and review of daily sales activity reports, review of sales reports for services business lines to identify growth trends and opportunities for focus, take transaction level requests from customers and escalate, resolve as necessary to enable sales team to stay focused on sales activities.

What you will do:

  • Produce daily sales activity reports.    Pull data from Cisco phone systems, Salesforce and mergo into a daily & MTD sales activity report for distribution to the team

  • Pull sample sales calls daily  from Cisco to support performance management efforts of leaders.  Sample calls across team regularly and identify gaps in consistency of messaging to customers and advise leadership

  • Manage transaction level escalation requests for the team (facilitating, following up on rush requests, guideline or pricing exceptions, etc).   

  • Produce monthly SOAR results for team

  • Review Red Bell AVE, Title, and AMC usage result, track and report progress of sales efforts to grow

  • Support general administrative needs of team as necessary

Who we are looking for:


  • Good communication/active listening skills; Ability to take direction and work independently on assigned tasks
  • Bachelor's degree - business and/or communications fields preferable, not necessary
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office suite of programs

Skills and Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office Products, particularly need to be at least moderately proficient in Excel and powerpoint    
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to review information and identify errors, red flags in need of review
  • Ability to communicate the results of analysis to front-line management in order to elevate issues and affect process improvements.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills 
  • A self-starter with the ability to produce accurate, timely results 
  • Commitment to the task assigned and a willingness to put the time in if necessary to complete the assigned task

Prior Work Experience and Education:

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Required:    Bachelor’s Degree,  Concentration in Technology; Computer Science; Operations Management; Accounting, Business Administration.
