Job Description

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Radian connects lenders, homebuyers, investors and loan servicers using a suite of private mortgage insurance and related risk management products and services. We help promote and preserve the tradition of homeownership while protecting lenders from default-related losses on residential first mortgages. We also facilitate the sale of low-down payment mortgages in the secondary market.

The Director of Title Services oversees the daily operation and management of the Origination, REO and Special Projects departments within Title Services.  Responsible for facilitating and generating the title work necessary to fulfill and maintain the quality and productivity necessary to meet client, underwriter and state requirements.  Must have a working knowledge of all aspects of ValuAmerica’s title insurance business and ability to accurately and efficiently resolve title defects and client escalations.  Maintain current training for team members and establish policies and procedures to meet and exceed client SLAs.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1.) Oversee and manage the overall quality and efficiency of the Origination, REO and Special Projects departments while ensuring client SLA metrics and expectations are being met.  Resolve client escalations and implement new procedures to meet and exceed client requirements.

2). Ensure proper state, underwriter and client guidelines are implemented and followed for each title product in order to exceed client expectations while maintaining compliance.  Serve as Title Services’ subject matter expert to resolve title defects and explain internal processes to clients.  Maintain thorough understanding of ALTA Best Practices’ compliance and risk related topics as required by ValuAmerica and regulatory authorities.

3). Audit and review orders and processes to ensure employees are performing job functions as assigned and vendors are providing appropriate work within the proper timeframe.  Provide guidance and training to improve employees’ production and strengthen ValuAmerica’s compliance.

4.) Supervise the daily operations of all Title Services departments by monitoring client volumes, vendor assignments, and overall workflow for Origination, REO and Special Projects.  Conduct regular meetings with managers and employees to discuss client and department expectations, process improvements and operational updates.

5.) Build and maintain active and open communication with clients to strengthen the existing relationships.  Actively participate in new client relationships to provide title expertise to further advance new relationships.

6.) Perform additional duties as assigned.


Knowledge:

Bachelors Degree with a minimum of five years of title industry or related experience required.  Title license in resident state as well as other state title licenses for business purposes.  Thorough knowledge of Title Insurance and all aspects of Title Services including origination and REO. 


Skills & Abilities:

Thorough and detailed understanding of Title Insurance and associated products/services; Strong management and supervisory skills as well as effective leadership; Ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines; Motivated and positive team player with attention to detail; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Ability to multitask and problem solve quickly and efficiently in growing fast paced environment.


People Management:

Manage all Title Services departments including Origination, REO and Special Projects, which contains 5-40 employees with the management of 2-5 direct reports.


Prior Work Experience:

Technical: 5-8 Years

Supervisory: 3-5 years


Other Certifications: Licensed Title Agent
