Job Description

The Corporate Security Co-Op supports the Security Manager in monitoring and maintaining the security operations for Radian to provide a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors and to protect people, property, and equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Physical Security - Administer and support security systems and processes.

  1. Administer Security systems

       - Administer badging system

       - Review security alarms and service tickets

       - Support migration and consolidation of security systems

2. Help communicate organizational policies and procedures.

3. Monitor compliance with policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, and customer/regulatory requirements, policies, and directives.

Emergency Management -  Support Emergency Management readiness, preparation, and response.

1.Support Emergency Management Preparations

     - Assist with logistics of replacing emergency supplies company-wide

     - Develop employee awareness messaging and training

2. Assist in delivering training and drills

3. Administer CEAS credential system

Business Continuity - Support Business Continuity (BC) readiness, preparation, and response.

1. Administer BC Documentation repository

2. Maintain documentation for BC program

3. Assist in development exercise scenarios

4. Monitor for incidents that could disrupt operations

5. Support incident response

6. Administer the emergency communication system

Other -  Other related duties, as assigned, including:

1. Develop and/or review training materials

2. Review and proof-read documentation

3. Gather program metrics

4. Support audit, regulatory, and customer requests by gathering appropriate documentation and artifacts

5. Other duties, as assigned

Professional Development & Engagement -  Maintain and enhance currency of knowledge, skills, and abilities in Physical Security, Emergency Management, and/or Business Continuity, based on career goals and objectives, and departmental needs and requirements. Training opportunities will be reviewed, vetted, and approved by full time development staff.

1. Identify and, with permission, attend, meetings, professional seminars, or conferences to keep abreast of changes in approaches, thinking, and technologies impacting Physical Security, Emergency Management, and/or Business Continuity.

2. Maintain knowledge of current developments in Physical Security, Emergency Management, and/or Business Continuity.

Job Specifications:

  • Strong inter-personal and communication  (written and verbal) skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • SharePoint or other Web Development experience is preferred but not required
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Part-time position for a current College Junior, Senior or recent Graduate with an interest in Business Continuity.
