Job Description

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Radian connects lenders, homebuyers, investors and loan servicers using a suite of private mortgage insurance and related risk management products and services. We help promote and preserve the tradition of homeownership while protecting lenders from default-related losses on residential first mortgages. We also facilitate the sale of low-down payment mortgages in the secondary market.

As the Business Process Manager you will be responsible for leading change initiatives that improve processes and develop new services to drive costs efficiencies, acting as the change agent for evolving and facilitating organizational consolidation activities to expand utilization of Enterprise platforms. You will facilitate and lead assigned projects working with cross-functional teams utilizing operational excellence best practices and will be responsible for the implementation of change, from initiation through to planning and execution.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive process reengineering efforts, creating efficiencies within Radian's operations.  Work across Radian businesses to find synergies across all similar activities, advancing the operational leverage of existing platforms.  Collaborate with business, and IT stakeholders where applicable, to develop clear and complete solution requirements that align with business process objectives.  Evaluate both internal and external technology solutions to find the best tools available to support business goals.
  • Work with process owners to implement clear controls and metrics for evaluating end to end operational performance. Establish regular cadence with business leaders to review, and make recommendations on where to focus improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate capabilities of current technologies as well as other innovative solutions available in the marketplace that may offer more efficient, cost effective operation. Partner with IT to define integration opportunities for recommended tools.

 
Job Specifications

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or MIS/Information Technology is desirable. 
  • 8-10 Years Process Improvement Experience.
  • Mortgage industry experience with a strong familiarity with Mortgage Loan Documents a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management, process mapping and business architecture, and facilitation experience is required. 
  • Experience with Document Management and OCR technologies preferred.
  • Experience with Case Management software ( i.e. salesforce) preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Development & Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Six Sigma DMAIC/DMADV and/or Lean certification is a plus.

Prior Work Experience:

  • 10 - 15 years of related work experience
  • 1 - 3 years of supervisory experience

Education and Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
  • PMP, CSPO, CSM and/or Green Belt/Blackbelt is a plus.
