Job Description

This position requires strong appraisal review experience and understanding of all current industry guidelines. This individual will review and analyze appraisal reports submitted by appraisal vendors and staff appraisers to ensure quality and industry compliance.

Primary Duties

1.)Review all appraisals submitted to ensure acceptable quality.

2.)Understand lender requirements and ensure all are fulfilled with appraisal report submission.

3.)Determine appraisal principals, techniques, and procedures are used properly by staff appraisers and appraisal vendors.

4.)Identify appraisals that don't conform to the engagement letter and work with the appraiser to ensure the report is corrected and returned.

5.)Communicate with client regarding pending appraisal report corrections/clarifications and reconsiderations of value.

6.) Communicate with manager the status of reviewed/rejected orders, reconsideration of value disputes and any potential issues. 

7.)Perform all duties as assigned.

Knowledge:

College degree with industry experience is preferred.  Minimum requirements of a high school diploma.  Prefer 1 - 3 years appraisal review experience.  General understanding of the appraisal industry with basic knowledge of the product types; Understanding communication with the appraiser and client is essential; General knowledge of FIRREA, USPAP, Dodd-Frank and Agency guidelines.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word); Knowledge of client-based systems; Attention to detail; Motivated and positive team player; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Ability to problem solve in a growing, expanding business; Ability to multi-task in fast-pace environment.

Education:

HS Diploma/GED - Required

Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred
