Job Description

The enhanced sales account manager is responsible for:

• Generating profitable NIW [New Insurance Written] among customer market segments that are specifically targeted for inside sales.
• Partnering with NBD [New Business Development] to sign up new clients and Account Management to assist in deepening client relationships thereby improving sales productivity.
• Maintaining relationships and servicing accounts by providing tools, information on new product introductions and other necessary support requirements.
• Prior experience in telephone sales or sales customer service experience is required. Additionally, exceptional listening skills, relationship building skills, tenacity/persistency and the ability to improvise are essential to the success of the incumbent.
• The individual will be working with NBD and Account Management in developing account profile data, customizing a call plan, creating business opportunities and achieving business goals and objectives. Success in this position will be measured on achieving NIW targets and specific MBOs [Major Business Objectives].

What you will do:

  • Develop a call plan based on discussions with NBD and Account Management teams.  Make outbound calls to potential and existing customers by telephone.  On a quarterly basis (or as directed by primary Account Executive), placing calls into the shared branches for the specific purposes of assessing any needs, challenges or opportunities they have that Radian can assist with.   Those findings should be shared with primary Account Executive prior to proposing any strategies to support to ensure no conflicts would be created.    
  • Refer inbound lead calls to NBD team and communicate information on shared accounts. Build and maintain customer relationships via telemarketing
  • Assist in business development activities, including: webinar training, fielding questions, identifying technical issues and routing customers to proper channels.  Handle customer inquiries
  • Communicate business objectives from prospective customers to the sales teams on shared accounts. Provide information and cross sell, such as MI Online, LPMI, etc.
  • Communicate leads within shared territories.  Create/update/enter customer data and other sales data into computer database (Qualify Potential). Request new Master Policy, update, or change of address.
  • Maintain call record-report and report results monthly.  Support sales coverage during various approved leaves of absences.  Remain focused on sales-Route Administration support to proper channels & follow-up

Who we are looking for:

  • A minimum of one year of Mortgage Insurance or Mortgage product experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in telephone sales or sales customer service experience is required. Additionally, exceptional listening skills, relationship building skills, tenacity/persistence and the ability to improvise are essential to the success of the incumbent.
  • Previous corporate telemarketing experience preferred (20+ calls per day.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Must possess a minimum of one-year experience in customer service or sales capacity.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Personal and professional demeanor.
  • Must have excellent communication and phone skills.
  • Exceptional listening skills and the ability to build relationships through a telesales environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Prior Work Experience and Education:

  • 3 to 5 years of related work experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
