Job Description

This position is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day closing services operations. The Closing Services Team Lead position is the subject matter expert in all aspects of Closing Services and assists the manager in leading the team in production and knowledge of procedures and systems. Ensures that the team is thoroughly trained in the closing process and is meeting their production goals. Handles escalated and difficult orders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as the subject matter expert for Closing Services handling escalated and high priority orders.
  • Assist new and existing team members with all aspects of training to ensure the closing process is successfully completed in accordance with company guidelines and client expectations.
  • Review all daily reports to ensure completion of assigned duties by the team.
  • Address inquires and escalations from clients, seller agents, buyers agents, internal staff and management in a professional and timely manner.
  • Once the title closing order is received verify all items including clear to close, payoffs, taxes, HOA's, insurance premiums, loan amounts, sales price, earnest funds, insurance remittance and commissions in order to prepare/review settlement statement and closing disclosures..
  • Communicate with closing agents, clients, and title services team to ensure all documents necessary to clear title are obtained and all closing documents are approved to coordinate/schedule upcoming closing.
  • Confirm/Review post closing details, funds due at closing, special instructions, disbursement and post closing package for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Job Specifications

Knowledge:
College degree with industry experience is preferred.  Minimum requirements of a high school diploma with at least three years industry or related business experience. Experience within the real estate industry and/or vendor management service company preferred.  ALTA best practices experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word);  Knowledge of client-based systems; Attention to detail; Motivated and positive team player; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Ability to problem solve in a growing, expanding business; Ability to multi-task in fast-pace environment.
