The REO Closing Services Representative will be responsible for the completion of all aspects of the REO loan closing process from Contract initiation to Disbursement.  This will include reviewing cleared title commitments, preparing settlement statements, ordering Deeds, working with signing agents, closing offices and attorneys.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1.)Review and confirm purchase contract and verify all items including recorded deeds, clear to close, payoffs, taxes, HOA's, MLC's, insurance premiums, loan amounts, sales price, earnest funds, insurance remittance and commissions in order to prepare/review settlement statement and closing disclosures. 

2.)Communicate with closing agents, outside title companies, asset managers, clients and title services team to ensure all documents necessary to clear title are obtained and all closing documents are approved to coordinate/schedule upcoming closing.

3.)Review all required documentation necessary to facilitate the closing prior to the contract to close date to avoid additional penalties and fees and ensure the closing instructions and insurance underwriting guidelines are met. 

4.)Confirm closing details with all parties, secure notary/attorney for said closing. Inform all parties of the funds due at closing, input all pertinent disbursement information into escrow system and assist the funding team with loan specific details and wiring information ensuring an error-free disbursement.

5.)Conduct a thorough quality control review of the signed closing document package for accuracy and completion.  Utilize third party system to post final loan documents and wiring confirmations.

6.)Perform daily review of all work in progress to ensure all work is completed in a proper time frame keeping within the contract date set forth.

7.)Address inquiries from clients, asset managers, seller's agents, buyer's agents, internal staff and management in a professional and timely manner.

8.)Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum requirement of one to three years of REO/Real Estate foreclosure experience.  Funding/Escrow disbursement experience is preferred but not required.  ALTA best practices experience required.

Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word);  Knowledge of client-based systems; Attention to detail; Motivated and positive team player; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Ability to problem solve and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

Required: High School Diploma / GED
