Job Description

The team lead will be responsible for managing the implementation and documentation of Radian's published origination and servicing requirements, including lender level servicing eligibility and pricing. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert, assisting in the development, coordination, and execution of departmental/cross-functional initiatives, analyzing existing processes and problems to derive solutions to enhance operational efficiencies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal business partners across the organization to manage pipeline, document requirements, and conduct systems testing related to pricing and eligibility changes
  • Manage the implementation of changes to our published origination/servicing publications, lender specific notifications, and policies.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in cross-functional projects.
  • Day-to-day support of staff for research/process/workflow issues.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement approved strategies.
  • Other projects as assigned specific to functions within MIRS.


Job Specifications

Knowledge:

  • Experience managing cross-departmental projects and independently facilitating cross-departmental discussions.
  • Experience with identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Experience working with data to analyze/recognize trends and deficiencies.  
  • Experience crafting or reviewing documentation and communications related to policy and process changes.
  • Experience with writing test scripts and completing user acceptance testing.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Underwriting background helpful                                                                                                                                        
  • The individual must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Process improvement background is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel,PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with business partners to prioritize and deliver on schedule.
  • Ability to work with varying levels within the organization.
  • Must have the capability and confidence to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment


People Management:

  • Ability to manage 1-2 direct reports, delegating responsibilities and tracking progress, while ensuring data integrity and adhering to strict deadlines. 


Prior Work Experience

  • Technical:   3 - 5 years
  • Supervisory:   1 - 3 years


Education and Credentials

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent job experience
