Job Description

The Director of Title Agency & Recording Services is responsible for the overall management, supervision and objectives of the Title Agency and Recording Services teams within the Settlement Services Division. This position is responsible for meeting agreed to Quality, Capacity, Delivery, Productivity, and Team Building goals for Title Agency and Recording. They must, at times, be a hands-on manager with a working knowledge of all aspects of the business. They are also responsible to ensure that team members are effectively trained, that performance management systems are implemented and that client issues are proactively addressed and resolved. The Director of the Title Agency and Recording Services will also establish policy and procedures that support the deparment's ability to meet and exceed client SLAs and be in comipliance with ALTA Best Practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall quality, capacity, on-time delivery, productivity, team building and client SLA metrics for product delivery are met to assure optimum client satisfaction.
  • Continuously monitor volume trends to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.  Address any issues /concerns with Leadership and HR.
  • Responsible for auditing and ensuring employees are performing job functions as outlined and assist in resolving any complex or escalated order issues.
  • Conduct division meetings as needed to communicate all new and updated client requirements, continuous process improvements and operational updates to staff.
  • Ensure that ALTA Best Practices as related to Title Agency and Recording are in place and being followed.
  • Maintain open communications with management and clients. Participate on client status calls to further advance relationship with clients.
  • Review employee training and performance and counsel/reward as needed to build a division consistent with radian values.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Job Specifications

Knowledge:

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of five years of title industry or related experience required.   
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of closing, title policy issuance and recording. 
  • ALTA best practices experience preferred.

Other Position Parameters:

  • Title Agency licensing preferred or willingness to obtain licensing within 6 months of hire.


Prior Work Experience

  • Technical:   5 - 8 years
  • Supervisory:   3 - 5 years


Education and Credentials

  • Required:    Bachelor’s Degree,  Concentration in Business
  • Preferred:    Bachelor’s Degree,  Concentration in Business
  • Other Certifications:   Licensed Title Agent preferred
