Job Description

The Team Lead will be responsible for managing the approval process, implementation, documentation and on-going maintenance of Radian's published eligibility and servicing guidelines and risk related policies. The Team Lead will also be responsible for the creation, execution, and storage of lender level eligibility and pricing notifications.This individual will serve as a subject matter expert, assisting in the development, coordination, and execution of departmental/ cross-functional initiatives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of changes to our published eligibility/servicing guidelines, and lender specific notifications and/or comparison grids.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners and conduct research and provide guidance on credit policy related items.
  • Manage the creation, maintenance and storage of risk policies.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in cross-functional projects representing risk department.
  • Day-to-day support of staff for research/process/workflow issues.


Job Specifications

Knowledge:

  • Experience managing cross-departmental projects and independently facilitating cross-departmental discussions.
  • Experience with identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Experience working with data to analyze/recognize trends and deficiencies.  
  • Experience crafting or reviewing documentation and communications related to policy and process changes.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage origination and mortgage insurance products, underwriting principles, guidelines, processes, AU systems and operational risks. 
  • The individual must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with business partners to prioritize and deliver on schedule.
  • Ability to work with varying levels within the organization.
  • Must have the capability and confidence to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.


Prior Work Experience

  • Technical:   3 - 5 years
  • Supervisory:   1 - 3 years


Education and Credentials

  • Required:    Bachelor’s Degree
